TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Dec. 5, 2023) - The International Council of Air Shows announced today that the U.S. Air Force selected Terre Haute as one of the 2024 demonstration sites for the A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team. The A-10 joins an impressive lineup of performers that will take flight June 1-2, 2024 at Terre Haute Regional Airport.
“We are so excited to be one of the few sites selected by the U.S. Air Force for the A-10 demonstration team,” said Air Show President Jordan Brown. “Our lineup for the 2024 air show is shaping up to be the best in event history.”
The A-10C Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft specially designed for close air support of ground forces. They are simple, effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can be used against light maritime attack aircraft and all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles. Nicknamed the “the Warthog,” the A-10 demonstration will showcase the aircraft’s maneuverability and thrill crowds of all ages.
“We’re encouraging people to buy tickets NOW,” said Brown. “We have a limited supply of tickets 50% off, but they’re selling fast. Get yours before they’re gone.”
